MODULAR ROUTE TO CPL MEIR (Frozen ATPL)

At Blackbushe Flight Training, we can take you from 0 hours and 0 experience to airline-ready with your CPL MEIR (Frozen ATPL).

This training is fully modular and completed at your own pace, in line with our flowchart.

It is more accessible than the integrated route, and allows students to work and commute whilst they train. Courses are paid for individually, either via packages or on a pay-as-you-go basis. Specific pricing for each course can be found on each course’s dedicated page.

Our flowchart breaks down the route and the hours each module takes to complete. If you have 0 flying qualifications, this setup is designed to be the cheapest and most effective way to obtain your Frozen ATPL with Blackbushe.

HOW DOES THE FLOWCHART WORK?

Our modular flowchart breaks down the courses required to obtain your Frozen ATPL with Blackbushe. Unlike the integrated route, modular flight training allows you to build on top of different modules. You receive your licences and ratings as you progress through the flowchart, and it can be undertaken at your own pace, alongside work or other commitments.

The chart is broken down into 9 columns. Each column represents a “module” you must complete to get to your Frozen ATPL. An overview of each module can be found at the bottom of the table; more information, including pricing, can be found on the course’s specific page on the website.

As you complete a course, you are eligible to get the licence or rating issued straight away. This allows you to progress at your own pace.

MODULAR FLOWCHART HOURS

Flying hours are a key part of training. You must meet certain minimum hours to be eligible for licences, ratings and even future flying jobs. In our flowchart, hours are broken down into 3 separate rows. Dual hours, P1 hours and total hours.

DUAL HOURS

Dual hours are hours you fly with an Instructor. For example, during the instrument rating course.

PIC HOURS

PIC hours are hours you spend as “Pilot in Command”. These are obtained via the PPL course during solo flight, skill tests, but mainly via your hour building. Also know as P1.

TOTAL HOURS

Total hours are your combination of Dual + PIC hours.
